About the Opportunity:
A well-established national real estate development and construction firm is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join its team for a new multifamily residential community in the Greater Boston area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to contribute to a large-scale project from preconstruction through completion while working within a highly respected organization known for delivering premier residential communities.
About the Project:
The selected APM will support a 320-unit multifamily development located in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The project consists of wood-frame construction with four-story buildings on grade, including five residential structures and eight stand-alone garages. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2025.
In the months leading up to groundbreaking, the APM will play a key role in buyout, permitting, and other preconstruction activities, reporting directly to the Project Manager assigned to the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating all phases of project management from preconstruction through closeout.
- Support procurement, subcontractor buyout, and permitting processes.
- Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and local authorities to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and documentation in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Participate in subcontractor meetings, RFIs, submittal reviews, and change order management.
- Maintain project records and support field operations as needed to ensure quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering is required.
- Prior experience as an Assistant Project Manager on a construction project is required.
- Multifamily construction experience is strongly preferred.
- Preconstruction experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Bonus: Eligible for participation in the Construction Bonus Plan

- Eligibility: Benefits begin on the 31st day of employment.
