Position Overview:

The President of Construction will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all construction operations, driving operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and innovation. This executive role reports directly to senior leadership and will be responsible for managing multiple projects, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of construction operations including strategic planning, budget management, and team development
  • Oversee project execution from preconstruction through closeout
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and municipal agencies
  • Implement best practices in construction management, safety protocols, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement across all construction operations
  • Manage P&L and financial performance of construction division
  • Develop and mentor construction leadership team

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive construction experience
  • At least 7-10 years in senior leadership roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale construction projects with values exceeding $50 million
  • Extensive experience in multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use construction
  • Proven expertise in Southern California markets
  • Strong financial acumen including P&L management, budget development, and cost control
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with ability to inspire and develop talent

  • Proficiency in construction management software and technology platforms
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships
  • Deep knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
