Position Overview:
The President of Construction will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all construction operations, driving operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and innovation. This executive role reports directly to senior leadership and will be responsible for managing multiple projects, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of construction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of construction operations including strategic planning, budget management, and team development
- Oversee project execution from preconstruction through closeout
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and municipal agencies
- Implement best practices in construction management, safety protocols, and risk mitigation strategies
- Drive continuous improvement across all construction operations
- Manage P&L and financial performance of construction division
- Develop and mentor construction leadership team
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of progressive construction experience
- At least 7-10 years in senior leadership roles
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale construction projects with values exceeding $50 million
- Extensive experience in multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use construction
- Proven expertise in Southern California markets
- Strong financial acumen including P&L management, budget development, and cost control
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with ability to inspire and develop talent

- Proficiency in construction management software and technology platforms
- Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships
- Deep knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
