A well-established multifamily general contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team in Dallas, Texas. Position Overview

The Estimator will be responsible for overseeing the estimating process for new and ongoing multifamily construction projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can accurately assess project costs, develop competitive bids, and collaborate effectively with project teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new multifamily construction projects from conceptual through construction document phases
• Review and analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and material pricing analysis
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure accurate budget forecasting
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors in the DFW market
• Track and report on estimate accuracy versus actual project costs
• Support ongoing projects with change order pricing and value engineering recommendations
• Stay current on market conditions, labor rates, and material costs in the Dallas area

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of multifamily estimating experience required
• Direct experience with multifamily projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is required
• Proficiency in estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with wood-frame and/or podium-style multifamily construction
• Established relationships with DFW-area subcontractors and suppliers
• Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes

• Base Salary: Up to $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
