About the Opportunity

A nationally recognized, privately held multifamily real estate developer and property management company is seeking an accomplished Lead Superintendent to oversee a landmark 300-unit wrap project currently underway in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts region.

The Project

The Lead Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day field oversight of a 300-unit, ground-up wrap-style multifamily development located in the Greater Boston area. The project represents a significant investment in a high-demand residential corridor and requires a construction leader with the technical depth and operational discipline to deliver on scope, schedule, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing full-cycle field leadership for all phases of a 300-unit ground-up wrap multifamily project from site work through certificate of occupancy.
• Managing and coordinating all subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Owner's Representatives, and development team to align field execution with project goals and milestones.
• Conducting daily site walks, maintaining detailed logs, and proactively identifying and resolving field issues before they impact schedule or budget.
• Enforcing OSHA safety standards and company-specific safety programs across all site personnel and subcontractors.
• Managing punch lists, conducting quality control inspections, and overseeing the close-out process for each phase and building.
• Leading owner walkthroughs, coordinating building inspections, and interfacing with local municipalities for permitting and compliance matters.
• Mentoring and developing field staff, including assistant superintendents and site supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 8–15 years of progressively responsible construction experience, with substantial ground-up multifamily construction as the primary focus — this is a non-negotiable requirement.
• Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Superintendent on large-scale multifamily projects (200+ units preferred), including wrap, podium, or mid-rise construction typologies.
• Deep working knowledge of construction sequencing, MEP systems, envelope systems, and finish trades in a multifamily context.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex subcontractor relationships and large on-site crews across multiple concurrent building phases.
• Strong command of project scheduling tools (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
• Thorough understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes applicable to Massachusetts construction.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary in the range of $175,000 – $220,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Location

This position is based on-site in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts region. Candidates must be willing to commit to a full-time, site-based presence for the duration of the project.
