Senior Estimator - Multifamily Construction

Location: Denver, CO

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing commercial construction team in Denver. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preconstruction services and cost estimation for large-scale commercial projects. This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to provide accurate cost analysis and value engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial projects

· Develop preliminary budgets and conceptual estimates during early project stages

· Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents

· Prepare bid packages and manage the bid solicitation process

· Evaluate subcontractor proposals and conduct bid leveling

· Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives

· Present estimates and value engineering options to clients and project teams

· Maintain and update cost history database

· Develop strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors

· Mentor junior estimators and support team development

· Collaborate with project management teams during preconstruction

· Participate in client meetings and presentations

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

· 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience

· Minimum 5 years of specific experience in commercial construction

· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local market conditions

· Proficiency in estimating software (Timberline, WinEst, or similar)

· Experience with takeoff software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar)

· Advanced Excel skills and experience with cost modeling

· Strong analytical and mathematical skills

· Excellent communication and presentation abilities

· Knowledge of construction documentation and contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

· Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation

· Experience with BIM and modeling software

· LEED Accredited Professional

· Knowledge of Denver/Colorado construction market

· Experience with different contract types (GMP, Cost Plus, Design-Build)

· Background in construction field operations
