Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for overseeing the estimating process for new and ongoing multifamily construction projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can accurately assess project costs, develop competitive bids, and collaborate effectively with project teams and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for new multifamily construction projects from conceptual through construction document phases</li>
<li>Review and analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements</li>
<li>Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers</li>
<li>Conduct quantity takeoffs and material pricing analysis</li>
<li>Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks</li>
<li>Collaborate with project management teams to ensure accurate budget forecasting</li>
<li>Maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors in the DFW market</li>
<li>Track and report on estimate accuracy versus actual project costs</li>
<li>Support ongoing projects with change order pricing and value engineering recommendations</li>
<li>Stay current on market conditions, labor rates, and material costs in the Dallas area</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Minimum 3-5 years of multifamily estimating experience required</li>
<li>Direct experience with multifamily projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is required</li>
<li>Proficiency in estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes</li>
<li>Excellent mathematical and analytical skills</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li>
<li>Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field</li>
<li>Experience with wood-frame and/or podium-style multifamily construction</li>
<li>Established relationships with DFW-area subcontractors and suppliers</li>
<li>Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes</li>
</ul>
Compensation &amp; Benefits Package

<li>Base Salary: Up to $130,000 (commensurate with experience)</li>
